Marie-Claude Bétrix graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ). In 1984, she became a member of the construction commission for the City of Neuchâtel and in 1992, a member of the design advisory board of the City of Salzburg. Marie-Claude Bétrix has also taught at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, the Biel school of engineering and the University of Darmstadt. Together with Eraldo Consolascio, she runs the Bétrix & Consolascio Architekten SA architecture studio in Zurich. Their notable designs include the Letzigrund stadium in Zurich.
